Here are some pics of some planting we’ve done.
Here the Fence Wise guy is installing the pre-made fence panels. The finishing off (ie filling in bolt holes, etc) was done on a day I was not at home so I have no pics of that.

Around the same time as the tilt slab fence went in I put in the first spa pool fence and gate. As you can see form these pics I had to bend the bottom of the fence nearest the house around a dogleg in the downpipe. This I accomplished with the help of a left over retaining wall block – i.e. I hit the bottom rail of the fence with it.
Here are some much belated pics from day 1 of the tilt slab concrete fence being put in. This is site prep, hole drilling and posts (ie reo).

Sorry for my tardiness, here are the pics from the final day the landscapers were here. Turf is the major component (Sir Walter at rear and Wintergreen at front) but they also finished off the irrigation.

Ok – Saturday. The boys from Coastal weren’t here today of course, but we had the brickie Aaron and his offsider doing Helen’s water feature. Jake and I did the rest of the cube of river stones (firstly laying plastic) along the left hand side of the house. I then went and got the sandstone and we laid about a 6th of a cube around the spa. Some pics of the goings on….

Things are taking a bit longer than anticipated so the boys from Coastal Lifestyle will be back on Monday. That said much progress was made today. The paving and steppers were all laid – just the sand/cement mix yet to be brushed in. 95% of the reticulated 6 station irrigation system was also installed and we now have a new box on the wall for me to play with. They also polished off some more of the garden bed edging out the back. I will get some pics in the morning and update this post with them tomorrow sometime.
Been too busy to document our progress lately. Yesterday I got the spa fence done – what can be done prior to the concrete tilt slab fence going up along the side – while the boys did all their paver garden edging. Pics follow (ie from yesterday) … the boys also got some of the paving along the left side done but I didn’t get pics yet – will get some in the morning.

Ok, forgot to post something yesterday but have some pics. Work is now complete on the retaining wall and it’s looking pretty good. Some more dirt spread around the place along with the pavers which are being used as garden edging. I also concreted in the new letter box today, after collecting it yesterday from a guy in Maudsland who makes them.

Ok – today was the first day the landscapers were on-site. They did all the bob-cat work, cutting and filling for the retaining wall, spreading top-soil for turf and gardens and spreading the road base for the paving. Took some pics along the way – of course. Our Landscapers are called “Coastal Lifestyle” … they’ve been pretty good so far I think. The plan they’re implementing is kind of similar to the one we had designed (posted here) but also kind of not. You’ll see that better as we proceed.
